So You Want To Leave Your Church...
Determine the reason you want to leave.
Did someone offend you? Don’t leave. Your mood will pass and this might be God’s test to see how much you love Him. Remember, He put you there for a reason.
Is your Pastor sinning behind closed doors? Is YOUR Spirit in danger if you stay? Are your morals in danger if you stay?
Yes leave, but do it the right way, with his permission.
Love your pastor on your way out.
Don’t talk about what you know, with anyone. There are others hanging on to his coat tails. They might need him more than you do. If he doesn’t give you permission, joyfully wait and worship. Pay your tithes. Be a blessing.
We waited 3 years.
Do we love him. Absolutely. Would we help him still? Absolutely. Could we stay? No.
Do we miss him? Of course. But we miss the him that we use to know, not this new fangled version.
We received so much judgment for leaving. No one knew and we would not discuss our reason.
Leave if you must, but still love him forever.
